Circuit working principle:
The usual running light is to only light one LED light at a time, and this circuit adds a capacitor to the original LED running light circuit to delay, thereby achieving the effect of gradually extinguishing the LED. We analyze using one of the methods. When Q0 outputs high voltage, capacitor C1 is charged through diode D1, and the voltage is close to VCC. At the same time, transistor Q1 is on, and LED1 and LED2 are on. When entering the next state, Q1 outputs 0 and Q2 outputs 1, due to the unidirectional conductivity of the diode, the electricity of capacitor C1 is only discharged to ground through the E poles of R1 and Q1. As the voltage at both ends of C1 capacitor decreases, the transistor gradually approaches the cut-off state, so LED1 and LED2 gradually darken. Similarly, other LED lights have gradually changed from bright to dark, resulting in a gradual flowing effect. The pulse input signal of 4017 is provided by the multivibrator circuit composed of triode Q11 and Q12. Changing the resistance of RP1 can change the oscillation frequency, thereby adjusting the water flow speed.

Production techniques:
Welding and component installation are the key to success. Please use high-quality solder, the solder joints should be bright and free from solder leaks. Components should not be installed incorrectly, and a certain order should be followed during production. After installing one part of the components, install another part. Start installing low components, such as resistors, and then install high components. The integrated circuit is first installed with a socket, and then the chip is installed after all are installed. The gap position of the chip is facing the mark with the gap on the circuit board.
After installation, check again whether the components are installed incorrectly and welded well, and then connect the power supply. Note that the positive and negative connections cannot be reversed. Turn on the switch, observe the flashing effect of LED, and then adjust the potentiometer to observe the flow speed of LED.
